I bought Dr Martens! These are my first ever pair and I love them but they shred my feet. Everyone keeps telling me that when I wear them in they will be the comfiest boots I’ve ever worn. I hope they’re right. I’m also wearing the hat my sister made me for christmas. Clair is a crochet genius – check out her blog Loopy Pink Contemplation.
I’ve been baking a lot recently, inspired by the Great British Bake-off and the weather being so cold I just want to cosy up at home. I was give Mary Berry’s Simple Cakes book as a gift and I’ve decided that I want to bake my way through it. I’m doing quite well, I think I’ve done about 7 out of the 60 recipes. These are the Anzac biscuits – scrumptious coconut chewy biscuits and perfect with a cup of tea! This laughing cow mug is amazing, the colour changes when it gets hot and the picture goes from night to day!
Mary Berry’s Sache Torte. Clair and I made this a couple of weekends ago. The pink decorations and the butterfly were all Clair’s influence!
New t-shirt! From CSS Tricks. I use that site nearly every day so I wanted to help support it by buying the t-shirt. Also, I love grey tees, and tees with gorgeous typography on them so this is perfect for me.
And the best book I’ve read so far this year – The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I loved this book, I need to review it soon I think.

That chocolate cake looks delicious!
It was! It was very chocolatey, I could only manage a tiny piece.
